A 15-day educational and practical training program was recently conducted for journalism students at Faryab University. The program was organized by Durukhshesh Media Consulting Services in collaboration with Faryab University and local media outlets of the province.

Ten fourth-year students from the Faculty of Journalism participated in the program, which aimed to enhance their academic and professional journalism skills.

During the first ten days, participants attended theoretical sessions covering topics such as specialized environmental journalism, media safety, radio reporting techniques, and audio and video editing. The final five days of the program were dedicated to hands-on training within local media organizations, allowing students to apply their classroom learning in real newsroom environments.

According to an agreement between Durukhshesh Media Consulting Services, Faryab University, and the participating media organizations, several of the students will be offered work opportunities within local media outlets following the completion of the program.

The participating students expressed their satisfaction with the training, stating that they learned valuable and up-to-date skills that will assist them in their future journalism careers.

The initiative was designed to strengthen the journalism community in Faryab province and to support the capacity-building of young Afghan journalists.
